Water Meter Troubleshooting

1. No Read in WaterScope

  1. If the reads have not been updating in WaterScope daily, then there is most likely an issue with the antenna of the water meter. Visually inspect the meter to ensure the antenna is intact, if the antenna is bent or broken it will need to be replaced. Make sure the antenna is tightened down and the rubber grommet is pulled down over the lip of the grommet. 
  2. Is the meter in a pit?
    • If the meter pit is filled with water there will be no connectivity to the system.
    • If the meter is in a pit without an external antenna it may have a tougher time connecting to the network. An external antenna can improve connectivity. Please contact us. 
  3. Metal Skirting?
    • If the meter was installed in a  home with metal skirting it will have a tougher time connecting to the network. An external antenna can improve connectivity. Please contact us.
